After numerous performances as a flutist specialized in contemporary music in 1975 she renounces at the career as an instrumental performer, concentrating her work on her own compositions, multi-media performances and video productions. Since 1980 Christina Kubisch works mostly in the field of soundinstallations and environmental concerts. Her installations are often presented in non-conventional places like parks, abondoned factories, shipyards, basements, monasteries and so on.
