Set of six discs(20cm), with a drawing on each side printed in color by offset lithography, to be seen as they rotate at the speed of 33 RPM. Several editions were issued: 1935 Paris, 1953 New York, 1959 Paris, 1963 New York, 1965 Millan.

The wall-hanging unit consists of a wooden box(37.5 x 37.5 x 8.5cm), which is covered with black velvet; the motor is behind, in the center of the box, and drives a revolving magnetized turntable(24.8cm) which enables one to use, according to the discs to be shown, either one of the two circular magnetized black frames of different widths supplied with this unit.

We are reproducing and showing the version of 1965, Milan: "A signed and numbered edition of the remaining 150 sets of discs of the original 1953 edition was issued under the supervision of Duchamp. In each set one disc is signed on the outer edge, in ink M.D. Each wall-hanging unit, designed by Duchamp on the basis of the 1963 edition, bears on the back of the front panel a brassplate on which Duchamp etched his signature, date(1965), and number of the example(1/150 to 150/150); at the bottom of the plate, in printed letters, the following caption, set as two lines, has also been etched: "Rotorelef 1935-1953 / Edition Galerie Schwarz, Milan". -According to Arturo Schwartz: The Complete words of Marcel Duchamp, London 1969-
