Die Todliche Doris / Chore & Soli / 1983 GER
Limited edition of 1000, gelbe Musik Berlin, Pure Freude Dusseldorf, 1983. Green box(31.3 x 31.3 x 5.6cm) with black titles, contains 8 multi-records(6cm) of different colors in plastic bag. play-back device(flesh-color) with battery and a booklet(16.9 x 12cm) with 32 photos from the Photo-Documentary-Archive and texts(prose and songs) by Wolfgang Muller, Nikolaus Vermoehlen, Kathe Kruse and Tabea Blumenschein.
The title "you see we come as friends" appeared as one of 16 titles on 8 mini-records, together with a battery operated phonograph in a box called Chore & Soli. It was released by Gelbe Musik, Berlin and Pure Freude, Dusseldorf 1983.
Mini-records and their respective phonographs are usually components of talking dolls and laughing sacks.
After Die Todliche Doris had released a 12 inch and a LP, she began to get bored. One LP follows the other and then the comparison starts. The critic speaks of the "development" of the group in this or in that direction, guarantying the new release a positive development ("the music has become more elaborate and more thoroughly composed"), or a negative one ("sadly the strength of the first LP is lacking"). Through the format of "Chore & Soli" this couldn't happen. Towards the independence from records and phonographs, as in our LP's "Unser Debut" and "Sechs" and equally through a third immaterial LP(order the poster "Throw away your crutches!" from Die Todliche Doris, Lutzowstr. 23, D-1000 Berlin 30), an important contribution was achieved. Don't worry! -Die Todliche Doris-
